Job summary

Belvac is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform diverse inspections in our Lynchburg facility. You will follow approved procedures to inspect parts at receipt, in-process, first piece, final, and during assembly, with process surveillance duties to ensure quality.

The role requires basic math, GD&T understanding, and proficiency with basic measuring tools and PC software. All candidates should be able to work shift cycles and travel if needed.

Qualifications

• Able to perform basic inspection using micrometers, calipers, indicators and basic hand gauges.
• Basic blueprint reading
• Basic math skills
• Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
• Basic PC skills
• Microsoft Windows
• IFS & Receipt inspection databases
• Performing inquiries on ERP systems
• Perform and document process surveillance activities

Responsibilities

• Be aware of and work with Belvac’s current documented Quality Management System as it pertains to their job requirements.
• Perform a wide range of inspection functions in accordance with approved procedures and/or instructions, including receipt, in-process, first piece, final, final inspection, assembly inspection and process surveillances.
• Other duties as assigned or required.
