Job summary

The Panther Group is seeking a detail-oriented QC Inspector I to join our client’s quality team in Bethel, CT. You will inspect parts and assemblies throughout the manufacturing process using precision measuring instruments, gauges, and other inspection equipment.

Responsibilities include performing various inspections, reading engineering drawings, analyzing data, and preparing NCRs. Strong attention to detail and proficiency with Excel are required.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with strong accuracy and quality.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specs.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficient with computer office software, especially Excel.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform developmental, first-run production, in-process, and final inspections of parts and assemblies.
• Inspect components using precision measuring instruments, gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Perform detailed visual inspections, including inspection under a microscope.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and Inspection Test Masters.
• Analyze inspection data and identify deviations from established specifications.
• Prepare rejection tags and NCRs for issues involving dimensions, finishes, materials, processes, or other quality requirements.
• Approve and stamp acceptable parts in accordance with established procedures.
• Complete inspection documentation and other required quality paperwork accurately and thoroughly.
• Perform data entry and data analysis related to inspection activities.
• Follow established quality procedures and documentation requirements.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
