Job summary

The Ulterra Drilling Technologies, LP Quality Control Inspector I position is responsible for performing final inspections of PDC drill bits and downhole tools to ensure compliance with drawing specifications. The role requires meticulous dimensional and visual checks and verification of shop travelers to uphold company standards.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and inspection requirements.
• Experience with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
• Strong English verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform final inspection on products to ensure specs.
• Conduct dimensional and visual inspections with attention to detail.
• Perform NDT inspections using Liquid Penetrant method.
• Verify shop travelers are complete before finalizing production.
• Perform in-process inspections of in-house machined parts.
• Conduct receiving inspections of vendor-supplied parts and materials.
• Maintain documentation for in-house and vendor products.
• Identify and control nonconforming product.
• Read monitoring and measuring equipment correctly.
• Final cleanup of products using air tools and hand tools.
• Carry out other quality-related duties as required.
