Job summary

Santa Barbara Infrared, Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform non-routine inspection of electromechanical, optical and electronic systems throughout production. Minimum qualifications include a one- to two-year certificate or three to six years of related experience.

The role requires inspecting at various stages of production, reading blueprints, and applying ISO 9001 standards. This on-site position offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• One- to two-year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six years related experience and/or training.
• Experience reading blueprints, engineering drawings, and schematics.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality system.
• Ability to work full-time

Responsibilities

• Performs receiving and receiving inspection of purchased parts and subassemblies.
• Performs dimensional inspections using hand-held instruments to measure parts and assemblies to drawing requirement.
• Performs in-process inspections of assembled hardware per drawing requirement.
• Assists Engineering and Operations in investigation of non-conformities.
• Documents inspection results accurately.
