Job summary

Alfa Laval in Indianapolis seeks an on-site manufacturing worker for the hygienic fluid handling team. This day shift role (6am–2:30pm) involves assembling components, reading blueprints, lifting materials, and performing quality checks to support the production of pumps and valves at our new facility.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, manufacturing experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Ability to read drawings, blueprints and manufacturing orders.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Crane or forklift certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive daily work assignments from Team Leader/Manager and follow SOPs and blueprints.
• Assemble subcomponents and finished products and/or perform material processing.
• Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items manually or with lifts.
• Perform process setups and value‑add activities per operating parameters and documentation.
• Execute quality checks and inspections as needed.
• Report deviations to status boards and update supervisors.
• Engage in daily 5S routines and cross-training to support multiple departments.
• Maintain safety, PPE and housekeeping standards.
