Job summary

Alfa Laval in Indianapolis is hiring for an on-site Day shift Warehouse/Inventory Associate. You will handle receiving, shipping, and material distribution, maintain inventory accuracy, and assist production with timely supplies.

You should have a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and strong math ability. Forklift certification and crane experience are preferred, with Excel proficiency and solid teamwork a must.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory systems.
• Strong math and measurement reading ability (tape measure, micrometer).
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Forklift certification and crane experience preferred.
• Proficient in Excel; ability to analyze data and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Unpacks and inspects incoming shipments and notes shortages or damages.
• Counts and verifies items against records and bills of lading.
• Operates forklift to move materials between receiving and storage areas.
• Conducts daily equipment inspections and reports issues.
• Maintains accurate inventory records and Kanban/Min-Max systems.
• Coordinates with teams to ensure timely material delivery to production.
