Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated seeks a meticulous inspector to ensure precision in vacuum envelope assemblies. You will validate sub‑assemblies, read complex drawings, and operate microscopes within a controlled manufacturing environment in Rancho Cordova.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to document issues and support corrective actions. The role emphasizes repeatable processes, safety, and strict adherence to specifications.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail with precision and accuracy.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and written procedures.
• Experience using measuring equipment (calipers, gauges, microscopes) or similar.
• Experience working with small parts and hand tools.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in a team environment.
• Willingness to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to lift 5–20 pounds.
• Preferred: TIG welding, brazing, cleanroom work, GD&T, or FOD control.

Responsibilities

• Inspect mechanical sub‑assemblies and final assemblies at multiple stages of production.
• Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
• Use precision measuring and inspection equipment, including microscopes and optical tools.
• Build mechanical assemblies using small hand tools and microscopes.
• Identify and document quality issues while supporting corrective actions.
• Maintain production flow to meet weekly manufacturing schedules.
• Follow cleanroom and contamination‑control practices when required.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering team members.
