Job summary

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Detailed Scheduler for its Surgical Robotics Supply Chain in Santa Clara, CA. You will translate production plans into detailed schedules, coordinating with manufacturing, warehouse, quality and planning teams to support schedule adherence and efficient plant execution.

The role requires a BS/BA in a related field and at least 2 years of planning experience, with strong Excel and ERP/MRP knowledge; travel up to 10% is possible. This is an on-site position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Planning, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Operations.
• Experience with ERP systems including Work Orders / Purchase Orders placement.
• Experience with system-based MRP and MPS, capacity planning and production planning.
• Proficiency in Excel and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains detailed production schedules that reflect production plan priorities, asset constraints, labor availability, and material readiness.
• Responsible for generating, printing and monitoring work orders according to the MPS work orders.
• Optimizes schedule to improve production plan attainment, throughput, and manufacturing efficiency.
• Coordinates schedule changes with plant stakeholders to support effective execution and minimize disruption.
• Supports New Product Introduction work orders for evaluations / validation and material readiness in production or development stages
• Keeps planning parameters in JDE for the products assigned with the frame of the established inventory policies.
• Interacts with engineering to provide support with production orders of evaluations/validations.
• Analyzes and monitors the inventory levels to comply with the goals established in the business plans, as well as to avoid obsolete, surplus material.
• Performs daily monitoring of production activities (real against planned), through determined reports and through physical inspection of the production floor.
• Maintains priorities while expediting, when necessary, availability of production in process to ensure the maximum level of customer service.
• Maintains wide communication with planners / buyers of other Surgical Robotics plants, approves and coordinates shipment of material to other plants.
• Responsible for planning and monitoring work order supplies
• Supports preparation of information for reports
• Travel up to 10% to the Milpitas, CA location.
