Job summary

Precision Castparts Houston is seeking a Production Machinist to set up and operate machine tools, including CNC lathes and machining centers, to fabricate high-strength alloys per blueprint specifications.

You will read blueprints, set up fixtures, and ensure parts meet tolerances while maintaining safe operating practices. The role requires experience with NC/manual equipment and adherence to quality procedures.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications.
• Experience operating NC and manual lathes and machining centers.
• Knowledge of tooling, feeds and speeds for various alloys.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints or job orders for product specifications, tooling, and sequence of operations.
• Set up tools, fixtures, and workpieces; position on machine table or fixtures.
• Operate CNC and manual lathes and machining centers to fabricate parts per specs.
• Observe machine operation; verify dimensions and conformance to specifications.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and follow safety protocols.
