Durham Manufacturing seeks a Press/Weld Operator to operate mechanical power presses, brake presses, and spot-welding equipment following work instructions and standards. The role ensures efficient fabrication of metal components for our products.

The candidate will perform welding, assist with machine setup, and maintain production records while upholding safety protocols in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma and 2 years’ press experience are preferred.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience operating and setting up mechanical power presses and hydraulic presses in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience in metal fabrication, preferably in production of metal storage cabinets or similar products.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Responsabilidades

• Operate mechanical power presses and brake presses using air or foot-activated controls.
• Perform spot welding and other welding techniques as required to assemble metal parts.
• Assist in machine set up as directed by crew leader, set up person, or supervisor.
• Obtain the workload from the dispatch list and produce parts according to routings and quality standards.
• Fill out load tags accurately and timely; repair assembly errors as directed by supervisor.
• Inspect all parts and final assemblies for accuracy and quality; report non-standard conditions.
