Job summary

Boyd Corp is seeking a dependable employee to support manufacturing operations on-site in Grand Rapids, MI. The role involves reading and following detailed procedures, selecting the correct tooling, loading material into the machine, and ensuring proper tagging and documentation throughout the run.

You will prepare first and last piece labels, verify materials, and maintain a clean, safe work area while adhering to quality standards and shop safety rules. A high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret shop procedures and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand Change Spec. Card Procedure and Non-Conforming Product Procedure.
• Get magnets from magnet board that contains the work order information for production.
• Locate pallet or cart with the WOR folder containing material, work order numbers and instructions.
• Determine and obtain the correct tool for the job identified on the Spec. Card from the tooling rack.
• Remove tooling from box, attach bearer blocks and slide into tooling station.
• Set the machine for the appropriate job.
• Retain Supplier raw material tag with lot # and run # information on appropriate sheet.
