Job summary

D. L. George & Sons is seeking a Press Brake Operator to perform setup, operation and related duties in our manufacturing shop. The role involves mechanical tasks and quality checks, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

You will be responsible for starting up and setting up press brake and related equipment, inspecting parts, and maintaining organized work areas. This position is full-time, onsite at our family-owned facility, with competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must have good manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and balance.
• Able to read and interpret drawings, instructions, and specifications.
• Able to work as part of a team and apply basic problem-solving and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow direction and instructions of supervisor.
• Complete required documentation when needed.
• Start up, set up, and prepare machines for operation, loading and unloading material.
• Perform operator level maintenance as needed, requisition replacement parts as needed.
• Deburr finished pieces as needed.
• Inspect finished pieces for proper specifications, tooling, and completeness.
• Sort finished jobs according to destination.
• Maintain and communicate finished jobs.
• Monitor supplies, notify if any are needed.
• Keep machine areas clean and clear.
• Assist other workers when not busy with assigned machine.
• Operate hand truck, industrial truck and other material handling equipment when needed.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
