Job summary

Vertiv in the United States is seeking a Press Brake Fabricator to join our sheet metal fabrication team. This hands-on role focuses on bending and forming metal to precise specifications, reading blueprints, and producing high-quality components.

You will set up tooling, adjust machine parameters, inspect finished parts with calipers and gauges, and collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering to keep production moving.

Qualifications

• Blueprints and bend specifications interpretation required.
• Ability to set up tooling and adjust machine settings for correct bends.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Willingness to learn new equipment and processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate press brake equipment to bend and form sheet metal per blueprints.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and bend specifications.
• Set up the press brake with appropriate tooling for each job.
• Position and align material accurately in the machine.
• Adjust machine settings to achieve the required bend angle and dimensions.
• Measure finished parts using calipers, angle gauges, and tape measures.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Identify and correct issues with dimensions and tooling.
• Handle varying sheet metal materials and thicknesses.
• Maintain production and quality documentation.
• Follow safety procedures and keep work area clean.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering to resolve issues.
