Urbane Cafe is hiring prep cooks to join a fast-paced kitchen focused on precision and quality. You’ll prep ingredients for salads, sandwiches and bowls, maintaining consistent portions and following recipes to keep stations ready for service.

Qualifications

• A passion for precision and a high standard for quality.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 35 lbs.
• Reliability and a positive, team-first attitude.
• Prior prep or kitchen experience a plus — but we’ll train the right person!

Responsibilities

• Prep and maintain the quantities of ingredients needed for our salads, sandwiches and bowls.
• Chop, slice, portion and prep with consistency and attention to detail.
• Follow recipes and prep lists to keep the kitchen stocked and ready for service.
• Keep your workspace clean, organized and up to food safety standards at all times.
• Communicate with the team to anticipate needs and stay ahead of the rush.
• Jump in wherever the kitchen needs you.
