Swanson Industries, Inc. in Morgantown, WV is seeking a Polisher to finish rods and cylinders to specific surface requirements.

The role operates Monday through Thursday afternoons, 10 hours per day, and involves polishing to customer specifications with attention to quality and safety. The ideal candidate has a High School diploma and at least two years in manufacturing, with proficiency in belt polishing and basic inspection tools.

Qualifications

Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in manufacturing and operations.
Performs work under minimal supervision.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Proven ability to meet deadlines and follow directions.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate a belt polisher to finish surface before and after chrome plating.
Check for surface defects and decide if repairable or not.
Polish rod or cylinder to customer specifications.
Occasionally spot weld.
Accurately use precision measuring instruments.
Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
