Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a Precision Packing & Receiving Specialist in Elk Grove Village, IL. This direct-hire role pays $25–$30/hour, Mon-Fri, with two available shifts and full medical/dental/vision and 401(k) benefits.

You will support warehouse ops including shipping/receiving and inventory control, packaging precision tools, inspecting shipments, and ensuring accurate orders for delivery. Candidates should have 2+ years in related environments and be proficient with packaging and ERP

Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, manufacturing, or logistics.
Familiarity with SAP, Salesforce, WorldShip, or other ERP and shipping systems is preferred.
Previous experience handling small, fragile, delicate, or high-precision products is strongly preferred.
Experience using a pallet jack is required.
Familiarity with inventory management systems and warehouse transactions.

Responsibilities

Carefully package precision tools and small manufactured components to prevent damage during handling and transportation.
Determine the appropriate protective packaging materials based on product size, specifications, and fragility.
Unpack and examine incoming shipments to confirm product condition, quantities, and identifying information.
Compare received materials with purchase orders, packing slips, and other shipping records to ensure accuracy.
Generate shipping paperwork, packing lists, bills of lading, and carrier shipping labels.
Verify outgoing orders before shipment to ensure the correct products and quantities are being sent.
Enter inventory movements and receiving information into company systems, maintaining accurate records.
Organize products and materials in designated storage areas to support efficient warehouse operations.
Assist with inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation of inventory discrepancies.
Transport materials and finished products safely between warehouse and production areas using approved equipment.
Escalate damaged products, missing items, and discrepancies to the appropriate team members.
Follow established quality procedures to protect sensitive components from damage, contamination, or mishandling.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with workplace safety requirements.
Contribute to improvements in packaging methods, inventory accuracy, and day-to-day warehouse processes.
