Job summary

Georgia Nut Company is seeking a hand packing operator to ensure products are packed to customer specifications and finished goods are labeled, boxed, and coded correctly.

You will run the packing line across shifts, uphold 5S standards, and document efficiency while reporting issues to supervision. HACCP forms must be completed and QA sign-off obtained on paperwork. Weekend and overtime involvement may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Well-organized with high attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize workload and perform basic math.
• Ability to read labels, formulas, and directions in English.

Responsibilities

• Receive and validate transfers with correct item numbers and quantities.
• Document efficiency standards and report inefficiencies to supervisor.
• Run the packing process from setup to completion across shifts.
• Apply labels, form boxes, and code date per specifications.
• Maintain 5S: keep area clean and organized; wear PPE as required.
• Complete passport labels and palletize completed units.
• Prepare and submit all necessary paperwork for shift handoff.
• Follow HACCP procedures and obtain QA sign-off on paperwork.
