Job summary

ALS is seeking an Organic Extraction Technician to prepare environmental samples for organic chemical analysis following EPA methods and ALS procedures. The role requires meticulous attention to detail and strict adherence to safety and quality guidelines in a fast-paced laboratory setting.

You will perform sample extraction, handle reagents, document results, and maintain equipment while collaborating with other departments to meet production, turnaround, and client deliverables.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written procedures and verbal instructions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling samples, labels, documentation, and materials.
• Safe handling of laboratory chemicals and materials following training.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prepare environmental samples for organic analysis.
• Perform extractions and preparation using EPA methods and ALS procedures.
• Weigh, transfer, dilute, and process samples and reagents.
• Operate lab equipment used in organic sample preparation.
• Maintain documentation and records accurately and timely.
• Follow quality-control requirements and report issues.
