Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking an experienced Optics Polishing Technician for our Port Richey, FL facility. The role focuses on finishing optic products with attention to detail and a safety-conscious approach.

You will operate polishing equipment, select abrasives, inspect surfaces, and follow blueprints to meet quality standards. Training is provided for double-sided polishing equipment, and a clean, organized work area is required.

Qualifications

• Previous optics polishing experience required
• Experience with buffing, grinding, metal finishing, or similar finishing processes is a plus
• Previous experience operating manufacturing or industrial machinery preferred
• Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn specialized equipment
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions and specifications
• Ability to identify imperfections and maintain consistent finish quality
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing physical work
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and quality-oriented

Responsibilities

• Perform polishing and finishing work on optic products
• Operate polishing and buffing equipment safely and efficiently
• Learn to operate double-sided, dual-action, and two-headed polishing equipment
• Select appropriate abrasives, polishing wheels, pads, and grit sizes for different materials and finishes
• Inspect finished surfaces for scratches, blemishes, swirls, and uneven textures
• Make adjustments and perform additional polishing as needed to meet quality standards
• Read and follow blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and finish requirements
• Perform daily cleaning and basic maintenance of polishing equipment
• Make routine adjustments to equipment and polishing heads
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all company safety and quality procedures
