Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical/Dimensional Inspector I, Optics for the 2nd shift in Tualatin, Oregon. This on-site role performs routine mechanical inspections per technical documentation and established methods to determine product acceptability.

Responsibilities include collecting inspection data, loading components into equipment, running basic programs, and reporting results. Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge are required; 5S participation is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or related experience.
• Basic proficiency in blueprint reading.
• Familiarity with GD&T ASME Y14.5.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Contribute in 5S workplace and follow 5S standards.
• Able to communicate problems and corrective actions to supervision.

Responsibilities

• Collect and review inspection data to ensure component integrity and investigate discrepancies.
• Locate programs, load components into inspection equipment, run basic inspection programs, and report results.
• Identify features for inspection and assign dimensional values and tolerances from the print.
• Regular on-site attendance/punctuality is required.
• May work in other areas or facilities as needed; overtime or alternate shifts may occur.
