Job summary

G5 Infrared LLC is seeking a Quality & Optical Coating Technician to prepare optical components for coating processes and support vacuum coating operations. You will perform visual inspections, maintain cleanliness, and assist with chamber setup and routine maintenance in a precision manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in manufacturing, optics, or cleanroom quality inspection, with high school diploma or GED and technical training preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Technical training or manufacturing certification is preferred.
• 1–3 years of manufacturing, optics, cleanroom, or quality inspection experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare optical components for coating operations and load/unload from coating fixtures.
• Support vacuum coating processes and assist with chamber setup and teardown.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections to verify coating quality and identify defects.
• Package and label precision optical components to prevent contamination and damage.
• Maintain cleanrooms and 5S practices; keep fixtures, tooling and equipment organized.
