Job summary

The Pioneer in Big Rapids, MI, is seeking a Print Press Operator to support the setup, maintenance, and operation of our offset printing press, delivering high-quality printed materials with precision and efficiency. This hands-on role requires dependable, mechanically inclined individuals who can follow work tickets and adapt to changing jobs.

Qualifications

• Press trainee or similar experience preferred.
• Valid clamp truck certification required.
• Mechanical aptitude for equipment operation and troubleshooting.
• Reliable and punctual with strong work ethic.
• Team-oriented and able to collaborate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Head Pressman and Production Manager to ensure seamless workflow.
• Safely operate and maintain the press and related equipment and systems.
• Install plates on the press with accuracy and alignment.
• Prepare paper and create roll splices without stopping the web.
• Bundle and stack printed products on skids; strap materials as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area daily.
• Perform press maintenance tasks as directed by leadership.
• Address press waste and adjust color to ensure quality.
• Review job tickets and execute tasks to specifications.
