Job summary

IREN is hiring a skilled Millwright for our onsite Operations team in Childress, Texas. You will install, maintain, and repair precision machinery and equipment, reading blueprints and using alignment tools to ensure correct operation.

Expect to work with drums, pumps, gears, and conveyors, with emphasis on safety and teamwork. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of Millwright experience, strong manual dexterity, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Must have experience with industrial machinery installation, repair, and maintenance.
• Must read blueprints, schematics, and engineering specifications; interpret technical manuals to determine procedures.
• Must have experience using industrial hand tools and power tools.
• Must have all Journeyman Precision Millwright hand tools.
• Minimum of 1 year of Millwright experience.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, inspect, verify, and document the scope of work.
• Use precision leveling and alignment tools to measure angles, material thickness, and small distances.
• Fit bearings, align gears and wheels, attach motors, and connect belts according to blueprints.
• Dismantle machines using hand tools.
• Assemble and install equipment and pump systems.
• Operate lathes, grinders, and files.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Follow supervisor directions and perform other duties as assigned.
