Job summary

Colonial Group in Matthews, NC seeks a skilled Millwork Operator to operate door router, stair router, saws, planer and related equipment to cut, shape and finish lumber according to work orders. You will set machine controls, verify dimensions with rulers and calipers, label finished pieces, track production, and maintain a clean, safe work area in a loud environment.

A high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year in millwork or related industries is required; CDL/A may be required; forklift

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required with related millwork experience.
• At least 1 year in millwork, construction or lumber industries is preferred.
• Candidates must be able to read specs and measure precisely.

Responsibilities

• Operate mills and hand tools to cut and shape lumber per work orders.
• Set and verify machine controls, guides, and dimensions for each job.
• Measure stock with ruler and calipers to ensure spec accuracy.
• Label and ship finished cut stock to the proper location.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in a loud environment.
