Job summary

Adecco is seeking skilled machinists to operate vertical and horizontal milling machines in a manufacturing environment. You will set up machines, read blueprints, and produce parts that meet tight tolerances while maintaining rigorous quality standards.

The role requires 2+ years of milling experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work with precision measuring tools. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with technical machining certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of milling machine experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Familiarity with G-code is a plus.
• Knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
• Strong attention to detail in machining operations and inspections.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate vertical and horizontal milling machines to perform precision machining on metals and plastics.
• Set up machines by installing fixtures, cutting tools and workpieces.
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine requirements and tolerances.
• Execute machining to meet specified dimensions.
• Inspect finished parts with calipers, micrometers and gauges.
• Perform routine maintenance and report issues.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE.
• Document production runs and machine settings.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
