Job summary

Impact Staffing is seeking an experienced MIG/TIG Welder for a well-established custom manufacturer in Lawrenceville, GA. The right candidate will weld steel, stainless steel and aluminum on precision fabrication projects, reading blueprints to determine welding requirements and ensuring quality finishes.

This role offers a first shift (Mon-Thurs, 10 hour days) with pay of $22–$25 per hour. Applicants should have 2+ years MIG/TIG experience and be able to read measuring tools to verify sizes and

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years MIG/TIG welding experience in a custom environment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints for framing and welding.
Proficient in using tape measures, calipers, and weld gauges to verify tolerances.
Comfort with basic shop math and decimal-to-fraction conversions.

Responsibilities

Read blueprints and machine drawings to determine welding requirements.
Weld steel, stainless steel, and aluminum using MIG and TIG methods in all positions.
Set up welding equipment and select correct parameters for materials and thicknesses.
Inspect welds for bead size, fusion, and overall quality; ensure finish integrity.
Fit, tack, and assemble parts using jigs and fixtures; repair damaged components as needed.
Clean and finish welded parts and perform basic maintenance on welding equipment.
