A medical instrument company is seeking a Metal Finisher I in Tennessee. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and experience in metal finishing tasks, which include processing parts to specifications, using measuring devices, and maintaining quality standards. Responsibilities also encompass cleanliness and organization within the work area. Qualifications
A minimum of a High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
Ability to hold tight tolerances while achieving the required finish.
Experience understanding proper documentation/quality requirements for a regulated environment.
Understanding of relevant safety requirements.
Ability to speak, read and write in the English language.
Good vision either natural or through correction.
Ability to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to 40 lbs on a repetitive basis.
Ability to stand the majority of the shift.
Responsibilities
Metal Finishers process parts according to the customer print and or EMS specifications.
Use measuring devices such as digital calipers and micrometers to ensure parts meet customer print requirements.
Maintain a high degree of quality in your work area.
Maintain equipment cleanliness and organization.
Elevate issues that require equipment repair or adjustment.
Support the EMS Quality Policy and Quality Objectives.
