Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems in Kansas is seeking skilled machinists to fabricate aerostructure components. You will work from blueprints, use a range of power and hand tools, and perform inspection and quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications.

Qualifications

• Experience with a variety of power and hand tools on the job or in personal projects.
• Ability to read and use shop drawings and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate components using deburr, bending, routing, forming, cutting, shearing, straightening, shrinking, bead, flare, flange, punching, countersinking, tapping, and related tasks.
• Use hand and power tools to complete work assignments.
• Inspect tools and products for quality before, during, and after tasks.
• Apply potting compound and sealer as required.
• Work from blueprints, templates, and instructions; self-inspect and measure with calipers and scales.
• Perform minor machine maintenance and assist others as needed.
