Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems in Wichita, KS is seeking a skilled tooling technician to program, fabricate, assemble, inspect, and repair tools used across our advanced manufacturing processes. You will work with diverse fabrication methods including cutting, grinding, painting, and welding, while interpreting engineering drawings and maintaining strict quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must be willing and able to work any shift.
• Experience with power tools or mechanical aptitude is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, estimate, sequence, and perform tasks to program, fabricate, assemble, maintain, inspect, and repair tools.
• Use cutting, grinding, painting, hand finish, shaping, drilling, inspection, and other fabrication/tooling processes.
• Coordinate, plan, estimate, and sequence work with other employees.
• Interpret tool drawings, engineering drawings, models, and data to communicate requirements.
• Perform basic shop math.
