Job summary

The Shyft Group USA, Inc in Charlotte, MI is seeking an Assembly Technician to join our team. You will assemble metal products at a bench or on the shop floor, following prints and BOMs to build components accurately.

This Regular Employee position is hourly non-exempt, pays $18.20 per hour, with overtime as needed. You will use pneumatic, electrical, and manual tools, read blueprints, and support quality and safety on the line.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
• Ability to read and execute instructions from blueprints.
• Ability to perform basic math and read a tape measure to 1/16".

Responsibilities

• Assembles metal products at a bench or on the shop floor per assembly docs.
• Gathers materials and positions parts according to docs or verbal instruction.
• Fastens parts with bolts, screws, rivets or other fasteners.
• Operates pneumatic, electrical and manual tools and reports issues.
