Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with precision mechanical parts inspection.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and industry standards.
• Proficient in GD&T and validating dimensions using hand tools.
• Experience with certificates of conformance and inspection documentation.
• Comfortable using electronic tablets to record data.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision inspection verifications on mechanical parts, components, assemblies, and materials.
• Inspect purchased parts, in-process and final assemblies for workmanship and conformance to specs/drawings.
• Perform first article surface plate inspection and sampling as required.
• Utilize inspection equipment (micrometers, gauge blocks, dial indicators, height gauges, optical comparators, CMMs).
• Identify defects and classify defects; verify rework during inspection.
• Verify documentation packages to industry/commodity standards.
