Job summary

Narda-MITEQ in Hauppauge, NY seeks a quality inspector to inspect in-house machined and purchased components, interpret drawings, BOMs and specs, determine acceptance or rejection, and review performance data. You will maintain inspection logs and ensure documentation accuracy.

Use calipers, micrometers, OGP and XRF to verify tolerances and material composition. Ensure procedures for inspection are followed and support continuous quality improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 4 years of relevant experience or 2-year Associate degree with 0–2 years experience.
• Experience communicating within department to clarify information and reach agreements.
• Follows established processes; identifies problems; escalates as needed.
• Works to achieve targets within area; scope is task-related and somewhat limited.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections to ensure drawings and specs are met.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and gages for measurements.
• Work with OGP and XRF to verify material composition.
• Review and maintain inspection logs.
• Ensure conformance with Mil Specs IPC-A-610 and MIL-STD-883.
• Assist supervisor with inspection-related tasks and reporting.
• Document non-conformances and coordinate resolution.
