Job summary

Narda-MITEQ is seeking a Mechanical Inspector B to perform inspections on in-house machined and purchased components, ensuring compliance with drawings, BOMs and specifications. You will interpret drawings, maintain inspection logs, and participate in quality control programs to meet standards.

The role requires experience with precision measurement tools, attention to detail, and adherence to industry specs. This is a full-time on-site position in Hauppauge, NY with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to interpret drawings, BOMs and specifications.
• Experience with precision inspection equipment and materials knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of components to ensure drawings and specs.
• Measure with calipers, micrometers, and gages.
• Use OGP or XRF to determine material composition.
• Understand materials such as aluminum, brass, copper.
• Apply GD&T to blueprint tolerances.
• Maintain inspection logs and records.
• Adhere to Mil Specs, IPC-A-610 and MIL-STD-883.
• Assist supervisor with additional tasks.
