Job summary

ACL Digital in San Diego, CA, seeks a hands-on mechanical assembler to build drawers, chassis, enclosures and racks from assembly prints and schematics. You will work with wiring diagrams and perform hand soldering, wire harnessing and cabling on assembly units.

You must read drawings, use hand tools and testing equipment, and carry out routine go/no-go tests. The role requires production experience with vocational mechanical assembly and the ability to log malfunctions and follow established

Qualifications

Experience assembling mechanical components and enclosures from drawings.
Ability to read assembly prints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Proficiency in hand soldering, wire harnessing, and cabling.
Experience performing go/no-go tests of circuits and assemblies.
Ability to work from established drawings and use hand tools and testing equipment.

Responsibilities

Assemble drawers, chassis, enclosures and racks.
Perform routine go/no-go tests of circuits, components, instruments and assemblies.
Set up test devices using hand tools or automatic test methods.
Maintain logs and records denoting malfunctions.
May perform repair work as necessary.
