Job summary

Solid State Devices, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Technician to support the Assembly Department in daily manufacturing and mechanical assembly operations. The role involves assisting the Assembly Lead, maintaining quality standards, troubleshooting issues, and supporting continuous improvement.

The position is full-time and onsite at our La Mirada, CA facility; remote/hybrid work is not available. Ideal candidates have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of mechanical assembly or manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components, subassemblies, and finished products per drawings and specs.
• Verify parts for accuracy and conformance.
• Perform mechanical measurements with precision tools.
• Troubleshoot mechanical assembly problems and equipment.
• Assist with preventive maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Maintain production records and documentation.
