Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial, Inc. is seeking a Precision Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our production floor team in Northford, CT.

You will assemble fabricated parts at dedicated stations, using hand and power tools to build units to exact specifications and tolerances. You will verify performance by testing and calibrating mechanisms, identifying and repairing nonconforming units, and documenting results as you move to the next item.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience; an apprenticeship or formal training may be required.
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in assembly or related field.
• Proficiency in machine building/assembling and comfort using common shop tools.
• Typical lifting up to 30 lbs; exposure to machinery and related risks.

Responsibilities

• Assemble fabricated parts at floor stations following defined instructions and procedures.
• Use appropriate hand and power tools to build units to product specifications.
• Test and calibrate mechanisms to meet tolerance requirements and quality standards.
• Identify nonconforming units and perform repairs to meet specifications.
• Work under established guidelines; report to a supervisor or manager.
