Job summary

Ameristar Meats, LLC in Spokane Valley is seeking an experienced meat cutter to prepare high quality cuts per customer specifications using knives, band saws, and related equipment. The role requires working in a refrigerated environment and adhering to safety and yield benchmarks.

Responsibilities include reading cut tickets, setting up the cutting room, labeling portions, and maintaining sanitation under GMP guidelines. High school diploma preferred; poultry/beef/pork knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Skilled meat cutter with knife handling experience.
• Ability to read and interpret cut tickets accurately.
• Basic math skills for portions and yields.
• Experience in a fast-paced production setting.

Responsibilities

• Trim and customize portions of meat products using knives, band saws or other equipment.
• Count and stack portions on trays per customer specifications.
• Label portions with supplied product labels.
• Read and understand cut tickets; set up the cutting room as required.
• Maintain sanitation and comply with GMP; work in a refrigerated environment 35°F–45°F.
