Job summary

Advcosinc in the United States seeks a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to set up and run Mazak lathes with Mazatrol control in a high-mix, low-volume shop. You will interpret drawings, set tooling, and edit Mazatrol or G-code to keep production on schedule.

Applicants should have 2–5+ years of Mazak lathe experience, read GD&T, and perform precision inspections with standard QC tools. A high school diploma or GED is required, with technical training a plus.

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years hands-on Mazak CNC lathe experience.
• Strong Mazatrol conversational programming and/or G-code knowledge.
• Experience with part setup, tool setting, and fixture installation.
• Ability to read technical drawings, GD&T, and work instructions.
• Knowledge of cutting speeds, feeds, and tooling selection.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and QC procedures.
• High school diploma or GED; technical/vocational training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Mazak CNC lathes (QT, Nexus, Integrex, or similar).
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
• Load raw materials, install tooling, set offsets, and run programs.
• Edit Mazatrol or G-code programs at the machine as necessary.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision tools.
• Perform routine maintenance, lubrication, and cleaning of equipment.
• Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards throughout production.
• Troubleshoot machine errors and perform basic diagnostics.
• Maintain accurate production records and logs.
