Job summary

Bentley Mission Critical in Greeley, Colorado, is seeking a Material Handler/Kitter to keep production running by replenishing kanban bins, building kits, and delivering accurate parts to stations. You will verify part dimensions, identify parts, and stage kits for multiple jobs with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities include monitoring kanban signals, ensuring proper labeling, and maintaining organized storage areas.

Qualifications

• Ability to read kitting lists, BOMs, and work orders accurately.
• Proficient with tape measures (1/16" accuracy).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational discipline.
• Able to manage multiple jobs and part types simultaneously.
• Strong sense of urgency and proactive replenishment habits.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, and handle material for full shifts.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Kanban Replenishment: Monitor kanban bins, part carts, and staging areas; replenish parts before production is affected; maintain standard quantities and triggers; adjust replenishment frequency during high-volume periods; never leave a bin empty without replenishment and notifying the lead.
• Parts Identification & Dimensional Verification: Identify parts using kitting lists, BOMs, part numbers, and descriptions; measure parts to verify dimensions; confirm markings and labels match documents; reject out-of-spec parts.
• Kit Building & Staging: Build complete kits with all required parts; stage logically at correct production station; organize parts by assembly sequence; notify if kits cannot be completed; label kits with job number and instructions.
• Material Handling & Movement: Move raw material and kits safely using approved equipment; load/unload without damage; transport between saw, storage, and stations; secure parts to prevent tipping.
• Inventory Awareness & Communication: Report low inventory; conduct bin counts; assist with cycle counts; communicate availability and status; maintain logs.
• Organization & Housekeeping: Keep storage areas clean and labeled; ensure clear part labels; remove trash; keep aisles clear; organize for next shift.
• Safety: Wear PPE; use proper lifting techniques; operate certified equipment; report hazards; keep exits clear.
