Job summary

Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, a Danaher operating company, is seeking a Precision Manufacturing Technician (Lapping Technician) to set up and operate automatic and semi-automatic machines. The role reports to the Director of Manufacturing and is based on-site in Nicholasville, KY within the Hardware component manufacturing team.

Qualifications include an Associate’s degree with 0–1+ years of experience or equivalent. Ability to handle precise equipment and stand for long periods is required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree with 0-1+ years of experience OR multiple years of relevant experience
• Ability to work with highly precise equipment including microscopes, lathes, ultrasonic cleaners, lasers and chemicals.
• Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 10lb, and stand for 7 hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Interact with highly technical equipment to ensure product performance
• Monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow, temperatures, and pressures to ensure specs
• Log data per CGMPs and the Quality Management System

The Precision Manufacturing Technician aka Lapping Technician is responsible for setting up and operating automatic and semi-automatic machines and related equipment. This position reports to the Director of Manufacturing and is part of the Hardware component manufacturing team located in Nicholasville, KY and will be an on-site role.

Key Responsibilities

• Interact with highly technical equipment to ensure product performance
• Monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow rations, temperatures, pressures, and related controls to ensure adherences to production/process specifications
• Log data by following CGMPs and a Quality Management System

Essential Requirements

• Associates degree with 0-1+ years of experience OR multiple years of relevant experience
• Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role Ability to work with highly precise equipment including, microscopes, lathes, Ultrasonic cleaners, lasers and chemicals.
• Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 10lb, and stand for 7 hours per day.
