Job summary

Siemens in Alpharetta, GA is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to assemble and inspect cable kits and wire harnesses for transportation solutions. You will read drawings and work orders, assemble parts, and verify dimensions with precision measuring tools.

A strong emphasis on quality and teamwork will drive success on first shift (Mon-Thu 6:30am-5:00pm). The role requires a high school diploma, hands-on assembly experience, and the ability to lift 35 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hands-on assembly experience reading and interpreting wire diagrams.
• Experience building wire harnesses and cable kits.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English and work effectively in a team environment.
• Able to lift up to 35 pounds and maintain safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Review work instructions: read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, specifications, work orders, bills of materials, and reports to understand material requirements and assembly steps.
• Assemble components: position, align, fit, and fasten parts, units, sub-assemblies, or frames using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, templates, or microscopes.
• Measure and verify quality: use precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, to check tolerances, dimensions, and clearances against required specifications.
• Inspect finished work: identify surface defects or other issues to ensure finished parts meet Siemens quality standards.
• Maintain the workspace: keep work areas clean, organized, and ready for production while tracking and inventorying tools as needed.
