Job summary

Columbus McKinnon in Chattanooga, TN is seeking an entry-level machinist to set up and operate Department 44 equipment, including hand tools, paint line, and tapping. You will read drawings, run processes and document quality checks.

Qualifications

• Must interpret manufacturing prints and work order packets.
• Training in ABC print and work order reading.
• Must be able to lift safely up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Department 44 machinery (hand tools, paint line, tap and thread).
• Perform and document quality checks on any machine in the department.
• Check, record, and adjust coolant concentrations and change tooling as needed.
• Wear required PPE for assigned machines.
• Complete forms as required by the work center.
• Perform additional duties as required.
