Job summary

Columbus McKinnon Corporation in Chattanooga, TN seeks a machine operator for Department 44 responsible for set-up and operation of simple machines, including assembly, drilling, tapping, grinding, painting and handwork.

You will perform quality checks, monitor coolant levels, adjust tooling, and ensure safety with proper PPE while adhering to work orders and drawings.

This role requires ability to lift up to 40 lbs, read prints, and contribute to a safe, efficient production environment.

Qualifications

• Equivalent experience with ABC print and work order reading; measurement techniques.
• Ability to safely lift/lower/push/pull up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines in Department 44 (hand tools, paint line, tap and thread) as required.
• Perform and document all quality checks on any machine in the department.
• Check, record, and adjust coolant concentrations and change or replace tooling.
• Wear proper personal protective equipment as required for assigned machines.
• Ability to complete forms as required by work center.
• Perform any other duties as required.
