ALIGN PRECISION is seeking a cost estimator to collect and analyze data to estimate time, money, resources, and labor for manufacturing projects. The role involves consulting with suppliers, identifying cost factors, and preparing estimates for clients.

You will read blueprints and technical documents, collaborate with engineers and contractors, and use software to calculate estimates. The position emphasizes cost optimization and project planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 0-2 years of experience.
• Ability to identify cost factors including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical documents.
• Strong communication and collaboration with engineers, clients, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret customer engineering data to prepare and execute estimating functions for new opportunities.
• Analyze estimating data impacting labor, materials, equipment, and other costs.
• Exercise judgment to propose cost-effective solutions and improve competitiveness.
• Collaborate with production personnel to interpret requirements and provide technical support.
• Prepare tooling estimates and develop project plans for the duration of the project.
