Job summary

KLA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Milpitas to support production, introduction, and continuous improvement of semiconductor capital equipment. You will lead RCA, work with Mechanical, Optical, Electrical, and Systems teams, and drive process improvements across the product lifecycle.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical/ manufacturing background and strong problem-solving, data analysis, and cross-functional communication skills to excel in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Mechatronics engineering.
• 3+ years in manufacturing, NPI, or operations within a high-tech industry.
• Experience with optical, mechatronic, or precision industrial equipment.
• Strong ability to analyze manufacturing, quality, and reliability data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication at technical and management levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for manufacturing, supplier, and field issues.
• Drive cross-functional efforts to improve product performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Perform failure analysis and diagnostic troubleshooting on complex electromechanical systems.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, BOM structures, and production methods.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and engineering changes.
• Collaborate with external suppliers to resolve technical issues and ensure readiness.
