Ichor Systems in Fremont, CA is seeking a skilled machinist to operate manual mills and lathes, fabricating components for semiconductor process equipment with precision.

You will read engineering drawings, align and adjust machines, perform first-article inspections, and maintain logs and documentation per SOPs. This on-site role requires 4–5 years of manufacturing experience, strong math skills, ERP familiarity, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of manufacturing or related work experience.
• Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to operate a variety of tools and machines.
• Strong math skills and understanding of mechanics and flow-control concepts.
• Basic computer skills, including ERP familiarity and MS Outlook.
• High school diploma or equivalent with vocational/technical training.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex set-ups and operate manual mill and lathe machines to inch and metric specs.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Fit, align, and adjust machines and assemblies to meet tolerances.
• Operate shop equipment including air/electric drivers and ultrasonic wash equipment; deburr parts.
• Follow schedules, work orders, SOPs, and manufacturing documentation.
• Perform first-article and precision inspections using calipers, height gauges, and protractors.
• Identify and elevate deviations that could affect productivity or quality.
• Maintain logs and documentation in required computer systems.
• May work in a cleanroom environment for part or all of a shift.
