Job summary

Evantic is seeking a Manual Machinist II for the 2nd shift in Houston, TX. The role covers setup, operation, and inspection of manual machining equipment, interpreting prints, and applying GD&T to ensure part quality. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on experience and can troubleshoot tooling and production issues.

You will support multiple operations, assist less experienced machinists, and uphold safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of manual machining experience.
• Experience setting up on manual lathes, mills, grinders, and related equipment.
• Experience reading complex prints and applying GD&T requirements.
• Experience performing in-process inspection using standard measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Independently set up and operate manual machining equipment for standard and moderately complex work.
• Perform machine setups, workholding installation, tooling selection, and alignment.
• Determine machining methods, tooling, speeds, and feeds to produce quality parts.
• Support production flow and monitor tooling and machine conditions.
• Maintain equipment and work areas per company standards.
