Job summary

Sunnen Products Company in Maplewood, MO seeks a precision machinist/operator to obtain work orders, set up machines, load parts, and monitor tolerances.

You will perform deburring, adjust feeds and speeds, troubleshoot tooling, complete production paperwork, and uphold 6S housekeeping and safety rules. Pre-employment background checks and medical testing are required; Sunnen offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Background check, SSN verification, drug test and physical required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and review work orders, part prints and setup sheets to determine machine setup and operation sequence.
• Select, position and secure dies, tooling and fixtures onto machine.
• Load parts into machine and secure with clamps for machining.
• Adjust controls for machining factors and tool offsets.
• Operate machinery and inspect parts for tolerance, squareness, concentricity and finish.
• Deburr parts using hand tools or grinders to ensure smooth surfaces.
• Troubleshoot production problems and replace tooling as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machine tools and equipment.
• Complete production paperwork and record inventory locations.
