EMR Group in New Orleans, LA seeks an experienced Machinist/Millwright to fabricate, repair, and machine precision parts for critical equipment. The role requires hands-on work with manual lathes and milling machines, reading drawings, and performing precise measurements to meet tight tolerances.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in heavy industry, strong tool skills, and a safety-focused mindset. This full-time on-site position offers comprehensive benefits and a stable work schedule.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED; technical or trade schooling preferred.
• 3+ years operating manual machining equipment in heavy industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics; proficient with measuring tools.

Mansioni

• Set up and operate manual machining equipment including lathes and milling machines.
• Fabricate, repair, and modify parts for pumps, motors, gearboxes, shafts, and structures.
• Interpret drawings and work orders to determine machining requirements.
• Perform precision measurements with micrometers, calipers and indicators.
• Maintain tight tolerances and ensure parts meet specs.
• Select tooling, speeds, and materials; perform routine machine maintenance.
• Assist with teardown, inspection, and rebuilds as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and uphold 5S housekeeping.
