Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Machinist - Level 2 to operate and set up machine tools, producing precision parts that meet exact specifications. You will read blueprints, verify dimensions with calipers and micrometers, and maintain equipment in a safe, clean environment.

This on-site role reports to the ISC Production Supervisor at our Tempe, AZ location. Key responsibilities include setting up lathes, mills, and grinders, inspecting parts, documenting production checks, and collaborating

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating machine tools to produce precision parts.
• Strong ability to read blueprints and tolerances.
• Familiarity with calipers, micrometers and gauges for dimensional verification.
• Knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting to keep equipment productive.
• Associate degree or technical certification in machining or manufacturing technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, mills, and grinders to produce precision parts according to blueprints and specifications.
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, making adjustments to machines as necessary to maintain tolerances.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and resolve machining issues.
• Document work performed and maintain accurate records of production and quality checks.
